Waypoints

How do I display all of the photo waypoints I created along my track at the same time?

Each photo taken along your track is also saved as a photo waypoint under “Waypoints”. Follow these steps to see them all together on a map using your Mac or PC:

1. Go to the MotionX-GPS Tracks page and email the track to yourself using the MotionX-GPS Share function.

2. Go to the MotionX-Waypoints page and email each of the photo waypoints to yourself using the MotionX-GPS Share function.

3. Either (a) drag all of the attached KMZ files into Google Earth or (b) import them into Google Maps. Since the photos are waypoints, they will show up in the correct location along the track. To see the photo for each waypoint, click on the waypoint pin (Google Earth) or balloon (Google Maps) marker and a pop-up will appear with the photo along with the waypoint info.

4. If you choose to view your track & waypoints in Google Earth, open each KMZ file using Google Earth (File menu >> Open), or (Mac users) drag the file on top of the Google Earth icon.

5. If you choose to view your track & waypoints in Google Google Maps, you need to import each file. A prerequisite is to have a Gmail account. Once you’re signed in to Google and you are viewing a map on maps.google.com, you will see a My Maps link on the left of the page. Select My Maps and you’ll see the option to Create New Map. Once selected, there will be an option to import. Import each KMZ file to see it displayed on the map. Give the map a title (and description if desired), Click the Done button and your map will be created and saved.
